Organic bergamot essential oil is extracted from the peel of the small citrus fruit of the Citrus Bergamia plant. The fruits are spherical, smooth, with a lemon-yellow surface and about 6 cm in diameter. Essential oil is contained in the peel of the fruit and has a strong pleasant citrus aroma and is greenish-yellow in color. To obtain one kilogram of bergamot essential oil, 200 kilograms of fruit are needed.
The oil is known primarily in perfumery and cosmetics, is an excellent antiseptic and is used in the treatment of all kinds of infections - flu, colds, runny nose, sore throat. Gives good results as an ingredient in fat-removing mixtures. In cooking it is used for flavoring confectionery, jams, marmalades, jellies and more. Organic bergamot oil is suitable to mix with sage oil, incense, mandarin, jasmine, pepper, cypress, geranium, nutmeg, sandalwood, rosemary.
- Aromatherapy: Add a few drops of organic bergamot oil to an aroma lamp or diffuser and enjoy the soothing and relaxing aroma.
Another way for aromatherapy is to apply a few drops of the oil on the body while in the shower.
- Massage: Add a few drops of bergamot oil in base oil and massage the areas you want. Massage with organic bergamot oil has a relaxing effect on muscles and joints, removes stress, relaxes and tones the mind and body;
- Skin care: Add one or two drops of organic bergamot oil to your favorite cosmetic product to enhance its cleansing properties.
